Budapest Season by Season

From Spring To Winter: Activity Tips, Photos

Discover Budapest’s many faces season by season. The city offers plenty things to do and see all the year round. There are many festivals and exciting events in all four seasons.

Spring kicks off with Easter, followed by the the Spring Festival and Mayday.

The summer months are the hottest in Hungary with numerous popular festivals and events.

The Budapest Summer Festival offers concerts, musicals, theatrical performances, dance shows, children programs on three venues. The summer fun ends with the August 20th festivities with a Fireworks Show.

Autumn is very nice in our city, especially September when it’s still very warm during the day.

The so-called Indian summer in the beginning of October is especially a pleasant time of the year.

At the end of November the city is starting to prepare for Christmas with one of Europe’s nicest Chistmas Fairs in downtown Budapest.

Although things calm down a bit at the beginning of January, the winter season has some awesome programs and activities for tourists and locals alike.
