Beer lovers cannot complain of lack of beer festivals in Budapest.
After the Downtown Beer Festival at the end of summer, you’ll get to enjoy Oktoberfest Budapest at multiple locations this year:
- Fröccsterasz in Erzsébet tér
- Margaret Island
- Buda Castle – Savoya Terrace
- The brand new Time Out Market Budapest in Corvin Palace
- Normafa Síház/Normafa Ski Lodge
- Bazaar (beer garden and restaurant in the Dob Street)
- Kismező (a Hungarian restaurant close to the Opera House), and
- City Park Lake and Ice Rink (Városligeti Műjégpálya és Csónakázótó)
The best craft breweries from Hungary, Bavaria and other countries will be present at all places offering a choice of 300 beers.

- Entry is also free of charge at Bazaar and Kismező, naturally you have to pay for drinks and food.

- Note: The festival isn’t free, actually entry is quiet eypensive (daily ticket 7 000 – 8000 HU) so we recommend the other Oktoberfest Events in Budapest listed above.
If the pricey entry doesn’t bother you City Park – a sprawling wooded lawn right behing Heroes’ Square – is much more spacious then the downtown venue, an excellent venue for an outdoor festival.
TIP: If you come with kids to the OktoberFest in City park then we recommend going to the Zoo or going up on the Balloon (the big red and white striped hot air ballon that ofers you a breathtaking vista of the city).
Live concerts – Bavarian folk music – and free Oktoberfest memorabilia (official Paulaner Oktoberfest beer mug and Bavarian festival hat) are the additional draws of the festival in this venue.

Oktoberfest in Time Out Budapest, Oct 04 – 11, 2025
The city’s latest gastro and cultural sensation the Time Out Market Budapest at Blaha Lujza Square will host an Oktoberfest. where you can celebrate a week of authentic German tradition.
There will be 7,500 liters of fresh Time Out Oktoberfestbier and Hofbrau Premium Lager on tap, brewed exclusively for the event by Dreher using an original recipe.
The full food & drink selection of all the resturants will be available every evening.
Live music, delicious food, fun games, and massive beer mugs are the other highlights.

This cozy Hungarian restaurant near the Opera House will host a Bavarian-themed week between October 07 and 13.
Indulge in oven-roasted pork knuckle, crispy pretzels, and delicious apple strudel. They’re also making pork knuckle burgers and traditional Käsespätzle.
The dishes are complemented by special beers from the Augsburg Riegele brewery and unfiltered wheat beers from Büble.
