The table below includes the opening hours in budapest during christmas and New Year of major sights and the thermal baths
Most shops, restaurants, museums and other attractions are closed on:
- Christmas Day (25. December),
- Boxing Day (26. December),
- New Year’s Day (01. January).
Shops, food markets, grocery stores close at 14.00 on 24th December, on 31st December stores are allowed to stay open until 18.00 but most of them close at 16.00.
TIP 1: The Gerbeaud Coffee House on Vörösmarty Sqr. is open on 24. December between 09.00 – 14.00, on 25 – 26. December between 09.00 – 21.00.
