The Budapest Gala Concert is a lively and varied performance showcasing Hungary’s musical heritage at two impressive downtown venues.


The country’s unique folk traditions, world famous composers and musicians had great influence on the European music life inspiring numerous foreign composers and artists.

The show combines all the captivating elements of

  • Classical music,
  • Operetta,
  • Hungarian folk and Gypsy music for a truly memorable program.


One of the most famous Hungarian classical music ensembles, the Danube Symphony Orchestra is leading the performance.


Professional ballet dance accompanies the concert for a  vivid experience.


Operetta pieces by the soloists of the world-famous Budapest Operetta Theatre will also be on stage:


  • Franz Lehár: The Merry Widow or
  • Emmerich Kálmán: Countess Mariza.


You can also hear a special Hungarian instrument, the cimbalom. It is a unique traditional stringed instrument, that is in perfect harmony with the tunes of the grand symphony orchestra.


We would also like to show you the Hungarian folk music heritage through traditional folk song adaptations performed by an authentic Gypsy ensemble.


In addition, the show includes a performance by one of Hungary’s great talents from the national “Virtuosos” talent show of young musicians.




The 90 minutes long concert starts at 20.00 and has two 40-45 minute parts with an intermission in between.

Concerts take place in two of Budapest’s most prestigious theatre halls in the city centre (venue depends on the date)


  • the Danube Palace in Zrínyi Street and
  • the Pesti Vigadó on the Danube Promenade, both at a central, downtown location.

  • VIP ticket: 105 EUR : Pick-up Time: 18.30. The service includes: Private transfer, best seats in the theater, private host to attend to you before the concert and in the intermission, small guided tour of the venue in English language, a professional photo, Hungarian souvenir, and a glass of champagne.

Pick-Up Drop Off Service


You can book a taxi transfer to the concert venue and back to your hotel after the performance for plus 14 EUR.


Note: If you book the concert with taxi Pick-Up Drop Off please be at your hotel’s reception 30-40 minutes before the performance starts.
